May 2013: hepia participates in the Swiss Academic Compute Cloud project, lead by University of Zurich.
August 2012: A long and successful demonstration of XWCH in the cloud in the GridKA school, Karlsruhe, Germany [1]
June 2012 : XWCH goes cloud. hepia's new infrastructure and the OpenStack software allows on-demand deployment of XWCH nodes. May 2012 : We proudly present a new, simple worker installation program that works on all the platforms that we support.
October 2011 : A new SWITCH project MUSIC will develop 3 new exciting applications on XWCH.
September 2011 : XWCH tutorial at GridKa/SGS summer school.
June 2011 : XWCH will be bridged to the Venus-C Cloud platform (FP7 project).

Mars 2011 : XWCH platform is accepted as infrastructure provider in the FP7 EDGI project.

September 2009 : Shibboleth login for SWITCH members is now available on www.xtremwebch.net
June 2009 : XWCH's new version being deployed. XWCH is one of the platforms of the Virtual EZ-Grid project. Within the project, hundreds of worker nodes will be deployed in several Swiss institutes.
June 2009 : A new security solution, based on Shibboleth, is being designed for XWCH.
May 2009 : XWCH demonstrations were successfully run in workshops in connection to Grid and Pervasive Computing http://gpc09.eig.ch
